Turmeric Honey Smoothies

Morning, guys! I’m sure you’ve heard of the many wonders of #Turmeric with its powerful medicinal properties. This popular spice in India has potent anti-inflammatory effects & is a very strong antioxidant.
#TurmericRecipes ~ Have you tried adding into your Smoothie? I love making Smoothies especially for my breakfast & sometimes, I would add Turmeric to spice up my drink.
Here’s sharing with you my personal #StrawberrySmoothie🍓 with Turmeric concoction but be warned, it can be a messy affair so wear your gloves (see Image 2), & wash your knife & chopping board immediately to get rid of the stain.
When using this golden spice, always add Black Pepper to enhance the absorption of curcumin, an active ingredient present.
✳️ Cheat Tips: I try to disguise the strong taste of the Turmeric by adding Manuka Honey & #Granola so that my son won’t know I’ve actually added ginger. 🤣
(Serves 2 )
400ml Milk
2 medium-sized Turmeric
1 dozen Frozen Strawberries
2 tbsp Manuka Honey MGO 200+ @foreveryoungsingapore
2 tbsp Granola
8 Ice Cubes if not using frozen Strawberries
Pinch of Black Pepper
Method:
1️⃣ Remove skin from Turmeric & cut into small pieces for easy blending.
2️⃣ Rinse the ginger & throw it into the blender with Milk & Honey. Blend.
3️⃣ Add Strawberries & Granola. Blend well.
4️⃣ Transfer to serving glasses & top with more Granola for some crunch.
Do you add Turmeric into your drinks too, besides using it for your cooking?
